(LANCASTER, PA)- Today the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners honored Temar Boggs and Christopher Garcia at their public Commissioners’ Meeting for their heroic actions in saving a 5 year old girl who was abducted.
“We are so proud of Chris and Temar,” stated Commissioner Martin. ” They are true heroes in every sense and we are honored to be able to thank them on behalf of the residents of Lancaster County.”
In addition, on August 7, the Lancaster County Campaign against Sexual Exploitation of Children (CASE), a task force created by the Board of Commissioners, joined the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in honoring Christopher Garcia in Washington D.C. where he threw out the first pitch and received the Spirit Award. Tamar Boggs was unable to attend due to his participation at a leadership conference.

“What Christopher and Tamar did was shining example of what Lancaster County CASE encourages all citizens of Lancaster County to do – keep your ‘Eyes Wide Open’ with regards to our children and to report suspected abuse to Childline (1-800-932-0313),” stated Commissioner Martin. “We are so happy that we were able to help in delivering this special experience for Christopher as a way of saying ‘Thank you’ and ‘Job Well Done!’”
CASE is a National Campaign created by NCMEC and initiated locally by the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners. Lancaster County CASE is operated by a task force comprised of a group of professionals and community leaders who are committed to protecting children in Lancaster County.
