Equestrian Information

Prevent trail damage and erosion by using only the designated equestrian trail and paved surfaces.

Permitted Locations

• Central Park (only the Equestrian and Kinglet trails)
• Lancaster Junction Recreation Trail
• Conewago Recreation Trail
• Chickies Rock Park (only the Pavilion 42 day-use area and the southern loop of the Clayton Shenk Trail)
• Money Rocks Park (only the county-owned abandoned rail line between Narvon Minerals and Sheephill Road)

Prohibited Locations

Due to soil erosion in Central Park, the Conestoga Valley Association (CVA), Scout, Warbler, and the Conestoga Trail System are always closed to equestrian traffic. Trails are marked accordingly. Horseback riding is also prohibited at:

• Theodore A. Parker III Nature Area
• Speedwell Forge Park
• Kiwanis Area of Central Park
