The Lancaster County Emergency Management Agency (LEMA) provides a full range of health and medical preparedness activities aimed towards supporting the local healthcare systems in responding to, and recovering from, all-hazards emergencies and disasters. Planning strategies embrace emergency management best practices and build upon existing healthcare resources and partnerships. Essential emergency management initiatives rely heavily on building and maintaining strong partnerships with all Lancaster County healthcare partners in advance of an incident and are not developed de novo. Our goal is to build more resilient communities that are prepared to deal with, and rapidly recover from, all-hazards threats and emergencies.
